We promote a 10mile cycle time trial each September on the A41 Road Ashton Clinton Tring Aylesbury bypass and we get riders enter from many parts of the UK with the winners time inside 20minutes giving an average speed of plus 30mph These are normal cycling Club riders not professionals and each year after we have deducted the cost for the events the proceeds remaining are give
n to the Keech Hospice in Barton Road Luton we chose this Hospice because many years ago 2 of our older members were in there for the last days of their lives
We made a presentation by our Club President recently at our Clubroom in Ampthill a cheque for £860 the 2021 proceeds to Steven Albion the Hospice Community Fund Organiser see attached photo of the presentation
We have since 2022 given the Keech the total sum of £10028 as the proceeds from this race We hope to be able to promote this race again in September 2022 on the same course subject to it being approved by Cycling Time Trials the National organisation for the sport of Time Trials on the Public Highways and the Local Police Authorities
